The project Catch Eyes took place at Pickled Art Gallery close to international and national artist studios, called Shangri-La. It is situated in the 4. Northern ring of Beijing. |

The "villages" around have a lot of people coming to Beijing for work. It is a poor district with no streetlights nor asphalt except for the main road. |

My idea was to create an installation in the dark gallery room that focused on people. I made these sculptures and some images on metal plates on the wall plus a table with stickers, pins and bags. |

It was amazing to hear the shock and joy of the people entering the room with a little flashlight in eye high. The light is so strong from the sculptures that no one even me could foresee it.
